Gray Blades blow a 1 to 0 lead to end up in a tie with 2 minutes to go!!!!!

Gray Blades were missing Faster Pete, Reggie and Craig...so we were lacking speed and.....anyway we called up Paul Stubbings from the Envelopes and he was a great addition

In the early going a centre whom we won't name but his initials are SF missed a perfect set up in front of a yawning cage and hit the post dead on!!!

In the early going of the Last period Johnny A took a perfect pass at the red line at full speed, catching their D off guard and doing a pirouette that felled him on the ice allowing Johnny in all alone and roofing it for the lead...a real beauty

Some how with 2 minutes to go we let them back in the game on a fluke

So with next Monday off due to the Holiday we are expecting every one to follow the Stone diet...almost forgot...Jim Stone had 3 assists and word out of Paris is that the Frenchies are enjoying the Shooting lessons from Reg....

Great Blades executive council meets

The founding fathers of the Gray Blades meet an upscale Restaurant in lower Etobicoke to discuss trips to Scotland, Vegas and another soon to be announced wine tour. The meeting moved from here to Stoney's house where they got into the finer details of topics now that none of them remember!!! (the pic was taken by the Restaurant staff  guy that should stick to opening wine bottles......)

Gray Blades 6 LYNX zippo!!!

The opposite of last week...we scored on any chance and they could not buy a goal, course, Robbo had a lot to do with that, maybe because it is his last game for us this summer!!!

And Reg!!..had the Hat Trick tonight and now he is off to Paris  to show the Frenchies how to score on empty nets!!!!

Robbo is off for the next few weeks on special assignment helping reassign Jim Stone's Puck Bunnies to other teams

Good to have Colin back in excellent form as one of our overworked 3 def guys tonight...and Johnny has to be thinking by now where he can bury me in the lineup!!

Missing Colin, Faster Pete , and Ron we call up Owen and Christian

In the first 10 minutes we were all over them and we just kept shooting at the Goalies pads

Goals by Reg ,Johnny and a beauty by Stone that went off the post and into the net.....the ring was so loud that the locals started going to Church!!!

At least we had Jennifer to help us drown our sorrows!!

Our first goal was a beauty with Faster Pete Skating from our end through the whole team and passing to a wide open Johnny for the one timer that the Goalie had no chance.

and 10 minutes later Reg found Faster Pete open for a beautiful back hander into the net and we were up 2 to Zippo and after that both Goalies were unbeatable!!!,,,Colin attended the game as the team's doctor, unable to play due to a knee

They were missing their best player and although they attacked with many a three on ones, could not do the trick!! They would always elect to shoot instead of pass

With a minute to go I found myself behind the net with a charging Walker coming at me and he wrestled me head first to the ice, and thank God for my 40 year old JOFA Helmet!!..and yet no penalty....I got the number of that truck!!

Ron Craig has just finished bribing  Richard for a select Gray Blade team for the winter League.....and yes Jim Stone had another 3 assists
