Gray Blades win Computer Simulated Game against MMHL All Stars

Steve contacted Owen last week before the game  and gave him the crucial advice  in how to beat the Urine Pond Squad that was bringing up a ringer...and it worked!!!

Of course the key was Robbo...all we had to do was play our game

And now about the Computer simulated game that we won and Stone lead the way

In the 1st period Reg corralled the puck near their Blue line and saw Stone in front of the net....he passed it to Stone but it deflected of an opposition Def towards Stones helmut and then int the net!!...1 to nothing

2nd Period, Colin , just in from a long road trip that included Russia, Cayman Islands, Peru and Greece

saw Stone in font of the net,

Faked a pass to Gordo

Sent it blindly to Mark who bounced off Stone's pants and into the net....2 to nothing

At this Point Robbo had already stopped 45 shots and was looking for some relief

Now into the 3rd period, Andy wins the draw and passes to

John Annan

who drops it to Chads on the point who relays it to 

FasterPete....who sees 

Quiggs in front of the net...who sends it to

Murray , all alone, and he redirects it into the net

Andy remarks that the Grand fathers got all 3 goals

except for Tom who was left off the score sheet except for elbowing the ringer in the 1st period

Kerry may or not have been at this simulated game...not sure because he is rarely seen anywhere

Owen was at the game but more involved in the simulated fashion industry......Oh...and Stone assisted on all 3 goals!!!

Da Blades win!! We dumped Urine Pond 3 to 1. They brought on a ringer for the final game, but we prevailed!!!

Andy scored a beauty to get it going and set up Faster Pete for another beauty.  They got back and made it 1 to 2 on a fluke from the point.

They pulled their Goalie in the dying minutes but , look out Andy gets the puck, and looking for Reg or Stone (not around), finds Kerry for the empty netter and clincher!!!

We were missing Stone, Reg and Quiggs.  Quiggs took on coaching duties for the final game and did well...look out Babcock!!....Winning was not so important as not losing to a squad that had to resort to bringing up an ineligible player to try to foil us......As usual they served Sub Sandwiches for the celebration....who wants to eat bread late at night!!!!

apparently the refs know how to tend bar!!.....tough job to be a Ref....put up up with old farts belly aching all the time

Tanya was ready for the victory celebration...and did I mention Robbo was the difference tonight....as usual!!

WE tried to contact Stone over FaceTime, but no luck.....Jim is under the anonymous handle latlely and we just couldn't connect...Jim did have 3 assists and he stayed at a Holiday Inn last night!

Urine Pond 2 Gray Blades 1

We lost but we still go to the dance next week against the same team.......they finished 4th during the regular season and managed to move on in the playoffs defeating the 3rd place team and tying the 1st place team in the playoffs....

I was mauled twice tonight and I am no threat!!...look forward to  meeting these guys next week but not so good that we will miss Stone and Reg.....hoping Quiggs can make a recovery

We scored our only goal by Reg and they had 2 that were flukes. Stone pulled the groin so he was gone in the early going but still managed 3 assists before he left!!

The Lyons were quite upset that we lost and suspected that we took a dive, but not so!!

The bills for the beer just kept mounting

A nicely tanned Tanya who just returned from Disneyland welcomes Colin who just returned from Calgary..she complained that she burned because nobody offered to put the sun tan lotion on her so Jim volunteered for the next time!!

I told Tanya to have the balloons and the Champagne ready for next Thursday, because we intend to win!!!!
