Gray Blades end the Summer season with a win!!!

THe MML Lynx looked out of place as they were blown away 6 to 1 and after the last 2 games where they netted 3 points, we wondering who were these guys???

Reg retapes his stick and this might explain his natural hattrick, goals number 4 ,5 and 6 !!    all assisted by Stone, by the way

Robbo returned to the net and we called up Steve to replace Mark who is on the shelf for awhile...and Robbo played great considering his Def left him alone so often

 Tom and Steve had the first 2 goals, followed by Faster Pete AND THEN Reg took over.....

And John Annan...3 breakaways and couldn't hit a cow in the ass with a hand full of rice....must be a clone of the guy from last week!!!

Jennifer was ready for us!!

Da Blades win the Summer series, a nice follow up to our winter series victory

We get together again for the Wooden Sticks tournament Sep 10 and 11

Gray Blades thumps the Blues 8 to 2

Faster Pete checks the garbage can for any clues, last week we found the Temptress in the recycle bin....the Blues assisted more of our goals than we did tonight. Our first goal was a beauty on a give an go from our defence pair Colin and Faster Marc,  (nobody minding the Shoppe!!!) Faster Marc, Steve and Pauly were our call ups

Johnny Annan had the Hatrick tonight with an assist by Tom, one off the Boards on a redirect from Hal, our new forward, and the other on a perfect drop pass from Mike M (of the Blues)..Pauly was superb in the nets, as usual, and the 2 goals that were let in were courtesy of the D

and 2 goals from Faster Marc as well as 2 from Reg who played all forward positions tonight

Mike M poses as Johnny A thanks him for the perfect pass....we were missing Mark Feeley who is recovering from knee problems and Robbo.  Jim Stone is having a great time in Vancouver as we write this, but also had 3 assists tonight!!  Shueys had the Air Conditioner on to night so it was 30 degrees outside and a cool 28 degrees inside.

It seems the evil Envelopes placed a blonde temptress in our room to throw us off

Our call up Goalie, Pauly who was outstanding, replacing Robbo was not concerned..he knew that we could overcome

HOWEVER!!!!..Ron Craig arrives and sees this temptress

He chooses to ignore her invitation that will later prove to lead to our downfall

Like lambs lead to the slaughter, the Blades get ready for the opening  face-off...we were missing Reg as well and sure could have used him.

And we lose..1 to zip plus an empty netter that Pauly should have had!!..Faster Hal was crushed into the boards near the end but survived,  so far...and Mark was cut off at the Knees near the end of the game and had to be helped off the ice (Mark, 
 our back up Goalie for the winter league  and so far no replacement for Robbo, we are in a predicament!!)...and the ref called nothing!!..as usual we were playing 2 teams!!!

but the good news, Jennifer was waiting for us and was particularly enamoured with our coach!!! and did I mention that Jim Stone had 3 assists!!
