Gray Blades claim 1st place all to themselves defeating Casey's 6 to 3

We did not get off to a good start as Jim Stone discovered his Skates had a crack in one of the blades, so he had to coach. We started of slowly, getting down 2 to 1 and looking suspect.but by the 3rd period we turned it around. Jim left when we were down probably figuring we were done! Robbo was there when we needed him but their Goalie succumbed.

Johnny A had 2 goals as did Reg, with singles to Andy and an empty netter to Mark. I had one assist which I am donating to Stone to keep his scoring streak alive. Our D played D tonight except when a few times JC was on the attack and Mark was covering at D.....next week we play the new look Erin Mills.....

Jim knows the pressure is on, averaging 3 points per game, all assists......but he is up for the challenge

With Murray, Gordo and Johnny A  away, we call up Quiggs

Andy had 2 goals and so did Reg.   withs singles to Peter and Stoner,,,and Peter's goal was on a beautiful set up by JC, his D partner, and at the time nobody back on the blue line!!!

Jim had another 3 point night and once again gets the girl

Andy had something to say to that though!!

Quiggs was stuck on a line with me or he might have had at least one goal

Next week we play Casey's in the battle for 1st place

Gray Blades eliminate Knight Hawks 5 to 2

 A goal and 2 assists by Reg, 2 assists by me (averaging 2 point per game!!) Mark had one and so did Gordo, Peter and Johnny A......JC made it to the game just as the puck dropped......the Mysterious Kerry was AWOL 

Next week we are missing Gordo and Johnny A...so we need Andy back and the mysterious Kerry to show up.....and Mark to recover more from the lower body injury

 Jim had another average night, scoring 3 assists and has waived his "no trade" contract as the Russians are offering big dough for him!!!!

Da Blades over powered the Basterds 4 to 1 for their 3rd win of the new season

Once again Jim Stone had 3 assists 

Half way through the game Andy went down with a lower body injury so we moved up his twin brother from different mothers, JC, to play centre and he quicky filled the void

Gerry filled in net admirally and it turned out there really is a Kerry who scored the empty net clincher

Jack's was waiting for us as usual....hey maybe we should get them to sponsor.....I throw that over to the new management!!!

Like last week we take a 3 to zip lead and let them back in as they scored two quickies

 2 goals and  3 assists by Andy, Reg had 2 goals and 2 assists ,,Stoney had 1 goal and 2 assists and  the other single by Tom  from PC

Next week we play #10 and Old Buddies.....looking forward to that!!!

And of course Robbo  played his usual sensational self but we are missing him for the next two weeks

Needless to say Reg's shooting practice has proven itself

we are now 2-0-0 and in first place , probably tied with Casey's

And our Def was very good tonight at getting the puck quickly out of our end!!
