Blades 4 - Pond 1

Blades are rolling along again.  Robbo + 3 defencemen took care of our D zone. They got 1 fluke goal. Pete showed the forwards how to make rushes.  Mark and Andy scored 1 each. Andy's shot was a beauty - top shelf.  Reg got 2 but should have scored many more. Even the timekeeper made fun of his misses.  

And we did all this without Owen.

With only a minute to go the Blades pulled it off with a goal and an empty netter. Reporting is sketchy but I understand Stone had 3 assists. Any other Blades care to comment? Our Cub Reporter, Jim Stone has informed me that Kerry and Reg scored our goals!!...........this just in from cub reporter Reggie!!!:

Sorry for the delay in sending out the game report but I have been watching some real hockey for the last 3 days - atom + peewee players.  There is an abundance of futures Blades.  

The current Gray Blades squeaked out a 2-0 victory on Thursday against Mimico.  Blades had a ton of chances starting with the opening shifts but could not put the biscuit in the basket.  Kerry finally found the back of the net with 32 second left in the game + Jim added an empty netter. Another guy was sure that he got the 2nd goal but was  told that Jim got it because everyone knows that a certain guy misses those chances.

Post-Game news - Jim has cancelled his Caribbean vacation and is making plans with Quigs for the next great Blades adventure which includes an all-inclusive stay at an exclusive resort in Elsas.  Details to follow.

I took a bunch of game action pictures but the Blades were just a blur.
