July 23rd, Blades Lose 3 to 2 to Envelopes

Jim and Gord have their arms around an imaginary Dr. Pete And Jarman who did not show up at the bar

We had Colin follow them after the game and they seemed to have gone into the Gay district of Etobicoke and that is all we know

About the loss...real sad.... we had assists on all 5 goals for our first loss since summer began. 

Jim scored on a beauty of a set up from Steve (rookie) and set up Ronny S on a power play with only a minute to go but we ran out of time

Gray Blades 4 Lynx 2 on July 18

The Blades came from behind a 2 to 0 deficit starting with 3 unanswered goals by Ron Sampson and then Jake got the Insurance on a lovely pass from Mark. We got off to an ugly start in the early going as Lynx caught us napping scoring on 2 flukes. After that Robbo kept us in the game and they just couldn't solve Ronny S.

Jim Stone scores the 1st on a Sampson rebound, knocking the puck down in mid air

Dr. Pete scores on a shot from the point that was a  redirect from their own player and Johnny A scores on a nice set up from Mark that the goalie had no chance on

Larry has some advice for Rookie Dennis (who claims to be a friend of Dr Pete)

Mark scored the 4th goal of the game to put it away late in the 3rd and  Ronny finally got a goal with 30 secs left into the empty net. Ron Sampson had 3 breakaways in the game but had all kinds of misfortune, hitting the post, losing control at the last second...etc This is a game that we could have scored 10 and so could have the bad guys, but Robbo kept hem at bay.  Next game next Monday at 7:15 or 7 :30 PM..will let you know
