The only goal OB scored was whistled dead before the puck went in but the stupid refs allowed it

Johnny A got us on the score sheet with the first goal

JJ scored the best one on a low shot from the circle

Tom got one off a paralizing rebound from Jim Stone 

Steve is trying to tell Pete  that he has to come off on a change with his line mate

Murray and Gord talk about Jim's Plus/Minus and they are concerned as you can see

Gord scored the 4th on a carom off our end into the empty net...he was going to pass to Jim but thought the boards were a better bet...and Murray and Ron agree

and JJ scored a beauty on a set up from Mark...in the back ground you can see the concern on Ron's face as he wonders if this is the right time to tell John that he has sold the business

Tonight only these 5 souls came to the Bar...on the way out , a cop followed me home but for some reason did not pull me over....Pink Power !!!!

Gray Blades defeat Faustina 5 to 2 Dec 3rd

Johnny Annan's hat trick and two by Murray powered the Blades to a 5-0 lead and they cruised to a 5-2 Victory over the Etobicoke Old Timers. The Blades had two solid lines and Robbo was steady in net as usual.

The Blades hope to carry some momentum into Thursdays game against Horizon.

Before the game Jim shows Mark a pair of 20 year old Gray Blade underwear he still has

Mark likes it and they fight over it only to see it disintegrate

Mark had two goals and Owen continued his scoring pace with the opener

Our Goalies Goals Against average leaped to 1.2 and  caused a bit of concern
In unrelated news da Blades came this close to acquiring former Boston coach Bruce Boudreau, with an offer of 1 million shares of Brownstone , but he foolishly turned it down

Game Report from Cub reporter Murray:

We will take the point.




With Robbo on the bench for a sixth attacker, Owen sent a beautiful

snap shot home from the top of the circle with 33 seconds remaining

to get a well deserved tie. The goal was set up by Mark who fought

off three Caseys players and somehow found Owen in the open.

The 1-1 game was a chippy affair with a lot of penalties. We should

expect more of the same when we hook up with them again in

January.



Next weeks game is an early one against Erin Mills. The were no

absenties reported although new Gray Blades manager Dr. Pete

suggested that Craig and Dallimore may need to do a conditioning

stint before being allowed to return to the big club.

We must have had over 50 shots and the play was in their end the whole time

We were missing 3 players, 2 of which were good enough to let me know

Johnny A scored our only goal assisted by Murray and Colin..... may as well say who else was on the ice at the time as there are no other highlights (Owen and Mark) ,,,,,,,Should I mention that the Refs never, ever call a penalty on a player taking Gordo down and also...how does the big fat goof on the Hawks draw a penalty against Steve????

Ron Drowns his sorrows on a Keiths, minus one for the night, but at least he will be in Florida next week

Robbo saved our bacon the last 3 games as he has stopped everything...really miss Smitty and Tuch who could score at will

Murray has a little bit of sauce on him here and Gord cannot believe the Leafs won

Da Blades scored their only goal in the middle of the 3rd period when Mark took a pass from Jake and Johnny A and put it in the top right hand corner. Wearing # 69 in honour of the retired Gray Blade "Larrry Dallimore", Mark was truly inspired and beginning to show signs of his former self from before the "injury" Our Goalie "Robbo" got the shutout and is giving Kelly notice that he can get the zeroes too........Dr. Pete was his usually annoying self as the "new" Buddies had no idea how to handle him. Steve got an interference penalty for doing only what everyone else does to him. Owen wore #16 tonight and probably played his greatest game.

As we prepare for the game we could not be aware that the refs would leave their whistles in their pocket. This is the worst bunch of woodchoppers in this League and we have their #'s

How could we know Ron Craig would get a penalty for being knocked into his own Goalie

Oct 20th Blades defeat Horizon 2 to 1

A win is a win. We outplayed and outshot Horizon but could only manage two goals. We were able to hang on although we were never threatened. Goals by Stone on a blistering shot from inside the blue line and a nice wrap around by Dave sealed the deal. No reported absentees for next week

Kelly has another outstanding game. On the scoresheet they have her name as "Girl" Steve doesn't look like he missed a beat. Marty , our call up gets an assist in his first game. THe Peru connection gets 3 points.

Jim congratulated Dave for Spareing tonight and scoring 3 goals  (it should be pointed out that John Jarman and Dr. Pete Are still lost in Peru)

Kelly was outstanding in net tonight with the help of her 3 D's  Colin, Owen and Gordo

Be fore the game we were a bit worried knowing we had only 8 players and Casey's had a full squad

Gord and Colin cannot believe the Leafs won tonight......also Jim had a goal and two assists( that is what he told me)  and Johnny A (the faster John) had a goal and some assists as well

Gray Blades win Home Opener 4 to 2 over Mauligans but there were consequences!!

As Mark was dragged down (no Penalty) and probably broke a leg bone...still waiting to see the diagnosis...whatever it is , he joins Kadri...

Dr Pete was unavailable so Dr Stone took over, and later Johnny A and Gordo shoehorned Mark into the Truck and took him  home. He did not want to go to the Hospital and wait 14 hours to be seen in McGuinty's Ontario

We had 2 goals by Billy and one each from Steve and Johnny A (beautiful set up from Gary) and Colin  threw in 2 assists, as did Mark. We outplayed them and outshot them by a wide margin.
