this was the last pic of us a few days before he passed on (more pics to follow)
50 years we golfed together,  40 years we played hockey together, 7 years as a Gray Blade, he taught me how to skate, we played hockey on Grenadier Pond with his brother John  many times before I was 10, when I was 12 living in Montreal we would skate one on ones in 20 below for hours and I never got around him,  he attended 40 Grand Bend Invitationals winning the Golden Jock twice and the low gross Golf 5 times, we had 64 Christmases  he attended all 5 of my daughters weddings,  He had 21 grand kids and 8 great grand kids,  we both enjoyed Molson Canadian and a good Steak,  he loved his Salmon and a good Caesar salad, we both shot right, at least he had all his feathers and was proud of that, when he retired he would still travel with the Gray Blades to watch us fumble about, he was always armed with a plethura of jokes, when I was 18 I told him I was going to buy a Motorcycle and he would have none of that so he had his father give me his car,  he always said he would be shot by a jealous husband but he loved his wife and his family to the fullest

With Dennis rehabing his hammy, the GM had to dig deep to get Marc + Quigs to come up from Omaha to bolster the GB line up. 
Blues scored in the first period but Robbo shut them out for the rest of the game.  Jim Stone designated himself as the game MVP. He had 4 assists including 2 assists on the 3rd goal. Marc + Mark scored for the Blades. The other 2 goals were scored on nice redirected defections by John + Reg,  the latter on a beauty shot pass from Gordo. 
No game next week because of the May two-four weekend but Pete is on a fitness kick and is running dryland sessions all weekend. Those that should attend, please take one step forward. 

Gray Blades tie the Envelopes 3 to 3

We played 3 teams tonight, the Lopes, the refs and our own squad!! We had a 3 to 2 lead with a minute to go and we put the puck into our net.....and the net was off the moorings, hence the Refs blew it.........if that wasn't bad enough we had helpers on their first 2 goals!!....Reg was the first star tonight and fittingly received Gray Blade cuff links worth about $20000 in the Gold Market........The first 2 goals were scored by Reg and Johnny A got the 3rd on a beautiful set up by Gordo (and I set up Gordo!!)   ...Next week we play the Blues with Tom away, Murray doubtful, Sol still recovering and Ron Iffy!.....our video of the Reg celebration did not turn out?
