Gray Blades 5 Lynx 3

Thanks for the skate tonight.  

So after one of the GB goals, the players did the fist pump celie and skated towards centre ice for the face-off. One of the referees skates towards the Gray Blades + asks "who scored that goal?"  One player immediately says " I did" and adds . . . . " I also got an assist on that one."  Tonight's trivia question is Name that Gray Blade.  This guy always cracks me up.  And he still owes me a steak dinner. 

we led 4 to zip half way thru the game and it looked like it was in the bag

Next thing you know they scored 2 unanswered goals and they are back in the game

Then they get their first break away and Robbo stones them(no pun intended)

But they get another break away and Kerry from out of nowhere, tackles the guy and they get the penalty shot and scored

But Reg makes it 5 to 3 in the dying moments and all is well

With less then a minute to go, for some reason, John sends Reg out there when their net is empty

But we prevailed!!...other goals were by, Mark,Stone, Kerry (a beauty) and Gordo (a beauty)...next week we play the undefeated Envelopes!!

Blades win Summer Home opener 4 to 2

We had only 9 players to their full Squad

and we had 4 really old guys at 65 or more to their none

But we won inspite of ourselves with 2 goals  by Johnny and one by Tom and Mark

Gray Blades lose 6 to 0 to The Red Helmut

We won the first 2 games but needed only a tie tonight but we could not do it

It has been many years since we have been shut out

I was kicked out of the game for hitting the Red Helmut guy from behind...I meant to just brush him but I am old and the timing is off....as usual he calls me a "Pussy" for some reason

Robbo was without help tonight

At least Stone, Craig and Tom won some of the prizes tonight

we were scheduled to go to the Goose tonight but that fell through

So we missed the Dance again!!

I think if we had Reg it would have made a difference!!

Jim wins the Tiger Williams Leaf Sweater....how long before it ends up on th Ice???

I offered him $100 dollars not to sell it to me

And Jim still had 3 assists tonight!!

Andy had 2 with helpers each from Jim Stone and Reg

Once again we filled the penalty box and did managed to stave off a 5 on 3 in the early going

Robbo was in top form stopping a break away and generally being a nuisance to the other team

The four 65 year old Grandpas managed to stay out of trouble

Next game is at 8 PM against the Green Hornet and his crew

We will head over to Montanna's where Jim will buy the beer

Yes that is a Halo over Robbo's head, standing next to the oldest Gray Blade on the team

Gray Blades play 1st game in the Etobicoke Tmnt

Playing against the Rangers and the Refs we pulled it off anyway

They had one penalty and we had 5 so I guess they were Saints

they had 3 of their goals on power plays....Refs must be related to someone on the team

Andy had 3 including the winner with 7 seconds left on the clock

Reg, Mark, and Kerry had the other goals

Stone had 3 assists

Next game is Saturday at noon
