Jan 26th Da Blades defeat Erin Mills 3 to 2

2 Goals by Steve Blundy  and one by Dave made the difference as the Blades solidified their hold on 1st place. Robbo's goals against average leaped from 1.3 to 1.4 and Robbo's going to work on that. We were up 3 to 1 with a minute to goal when they pulled their goalie and scored when we failed to clear our end. Next week we are missing Ron, and JJ and Owen are day to day with lower body injuries.

Jan 19th Gray Blades defeat Casey's 2 to zip

The Blades claimed first place after blanking Casey's 2-0.




Casey's came out strong in the first but Robbo held the

fort until we got our bearings. Goals from the call ups

Dave and Peter sealed the deal.



Next weeks game MIAs- Ron, Dr. Pete and John Jarman is day to day.

Gray Blades bounce Mauligans 4 to 2

Here we see Jimmy making some notes while Colin, John and Ron appear not to be interested

And in case the Vice Squad is watching and thinks that Tom is placing a $300 bet on the Super bowl, nothing could be further from the truth

Jim is collecting money for a consulting fee

And in case revenue Canada is watching , that fee goes to Mike O'Doherty for his hockey analysis of the team

Oh, and about the game. We out shot them and out played them but could only score 4 goals. Johnny A had one as did Gord and JJ had 2 beauties, patient ones waiting for the Goalie to get out of position.  After the game Ron announced that the money losing divisions of Turfcare could expect some layoffs at the top and Jim announced that he would take next week off as he needed another vacation.

Gray Blades defeat Old Night Hawks 2 to 1

2 goals by Mark and an outstanding game by Robbo meant that the Hawks would be removed from 1st place and  replaced by the Blades ( if only for an hour as Casey's was likely to win their game in the next hour)
The Blades were with out the Anonymous guy and Ron Craig whom were not really needed and frankly we don't know what to do with them upon their return. The team was thinking that they should stay where they are.
The Refs did there best to help the Hawks as Colin was called for a penalty with 2 minutes to go when a guy fell near him. What else is new?? That is the only way they were going to score as they pulled their goalie and went for broke and scored (assisted by the refs) 
Steve was picking on their pony tailed defenceman ( 3 times Steve's weight) and I told the Hawks team Rep that I would ask Steve to cut some slack to the Fat Boy
