Gray Blades 2 Envelopes 4

Reg had the 1st goal

With 55 seconds to go John Annan #55 scores our 2nd goal but it was not enough as the weary weekenders end their 2 game
winning streak....But Jim Stone did have 3 assists!!!!

3rd time's a charm!!!

Sleeping with the enemy??The Boys think that Larry is actually going to listen to their demands????...This is just before our game and something just is not a fit??

Anyhew....Faster Pete had a natural Hatrick and the Blues just could not contain his speed!!  We were up 3 to Zippo in the time it took Colin to go to the dressing room for a knee brace correction!!!  We finally beat these guys after our 3rd try....But they were missing their top players tonight!!!

Robbo had his usual great performance!!!  Tom had a breakaway (yes as slow as I am) and the Goalie made a great save with his toe!!

Jennifer was her usual tonight....looked after us well!!!

and Jim Stone once again thrilled the crowd with another 3 assist performance!!!!!  In the dying seconds they pulled their Goalie so we naturally sent out our expert....Reg!!...and he said he ran out of time or would have scored our 4th Goal....and Faster Pete got a double minor in the last minute of play for being Faster Pete!!!..He told the ref, it was not him , it was the sock!!(maybe you had to be there!!)

Gray Blades win 2nd game of the season!!!

The only team that we can beat so far is LYNX

The weather was cool so we went back to Shuey's and it was busy as hell!!

down 2 to 1 in the early going we were having our troubles

Pauly filled in for Robbo and was great ...they scored 2 seeing eye goals on him that were extremely lazered

With 2 goals by the old guard, Murray and Stone and Craig and Tom also had
chances...the Old Farts contributed!!!  Also scoring was Reg and an empty netter that he is best at...Steve and Johnny , on a perfect pass from their D...and Stone had 3 assists!!!

Da Blades lose 4 to 1 to the upstart Envelopes!!!

Well.... we looked good before the game!!

Jim had another 3 assist performance but it wasn't enough!!

Robbo stoped all the first shots but, we did not take care of the 2nd shots

The checking line opened the scoring by a seeing eye goal from Johnny to the top corner that Murray set up

Stone did not have the proper socks and maybe that was an omen!!1

Our top line was a minus 3!!!...Omaha is looming!!!

We decided to forgo Chueys as we did not want a sauna and elected to give the new restaurant upstairs a chance and they were quite respectful!!!!.....and most important Gordo returned and played very well...we need him badly!!!

Gray Blades lose tough battle 5 to 3 to the Blues!!!

We gave it a better go then the last time

We were closer and playing better except for the numerous passes to their team?!

we were missing Colin and Murray

so we called up Christian and Faster Murray!!

The heat was stifling at Schueys so we moved to the Deck

WE had goals by Steve, Reg and Stone

Reg was hacked and slashed all night and no penalties...and he lead off the scoring on a seeing eye goal from the slot that went into the net and through a gap between the ice and the iron..out the other side and the play continued!!!!...but eventually play was stopped and the goal was allowed!!

Louis came over and tried to tell Stone that he had no influence in the Tuesday League...Stone did not buy it!!!!!

see the following!!!!!

And then Les Mulick had the Gall to visit us....he is the only guy in history to leave the Blades to go to another team!! But there is some good news, Stone had another 3 assist performance!!!!

Gray Blades win their first game of the summer series!!

We called up Christian to replace the out of town Colin

We squeaked a 5 to 4 victory over a team that had only 8 skaters!!!

Goal by Faster Pete, Christian, Steve , Reg and Moi

Murray set me up for what proved to be the winning goal that I redirected at close to 4 1/2 MPH, a double hopper!!!

And Jim Stone, once again, set the tone with a 3 assist performance.....

Local Gray Blades have impromptu dinner at the Pump

We were lucky to get there as all traffic lights on the way were out

The Pumps Electrics were working and across the street they were not

This all started when we found out that Tuch was in town so we planned a dinner Friday night and it just got bigger!!

we are talking about Monday's upcoming game and when Gord can return to the line up....maybe by the end of the month

a great night!!!

Jim found a new friend!!!....and he had 3 assists!!!
