Gray Blades defeat Blue 3 to 1...win the Summer Season

The Checking line of Stone, Tom and Dr Pete got all 3 goals for the Blades tonight

Stone , Pete and Gordo were the scorers

Pete lost his edge during the game and did a bit of a swan dive, seems he may of lost his wallet too

Blades were 5 - 0 -0 against the Blues

Against the Reds we were 3 -0 - 2

Against Envelopes we were 3 - 2 -  0

So we won the summer season as well as the winter season

You are seeing right.....2 Marks !!

Jim bot a few rounds tonight, said he found some spare cash somewhere

August 20th, da Blades lose 4 to 1 to Envelopes

As you can see Dennis was quite upset about our 2nd loss of the summer to the upstart Envelopes

And we went to Jim's instead of Shueys to enjoy a Cigar and some Pizza

Robbo can't remember the last time when any team scored 4 goals on him

Of course it does not help when the team in front of him couldn't hit a cow in the ass with a handfull of rice

Johnny A scored our only goal , but missing was Jim Stone, our leading scorer, who could not find the net

As the evening wore on Dennis lightened up because he realized that it was the forwards who were to blame for the loss..... the next game is the last of the summer and we will be missing Craig, as Jarman is scheduled to return from Lobsterfest

Jim was one of the 1st guys there because it takes longer for him now to figure how the equipment goes on

Next was Colin who later had a breakaway and hit the goalie dead centre in the pads

Ron and Pete discuss the tremendous success of Stone's diet

Beside Dennis is another Colin, the spare Goalie who filled in admirably for Robbo

Our Goals were scored by Johnny A ( nice feed from Mark) , Mark and Stone (nice feed from Dennis)

Gray Blades defeat Cry Baby and the Blues 5 to 3

Both sides had lots of shots but Robbo was the difference

The scoring lead kept changing hand up to half way

Then Johnny A scored with a man short (Gordo in the box on a Cry Baby dive) a change up low from the blue line that completely fooled their goalie

Jim Stone had a beauty from the slot that hit the cross bar and went in....his new diet must be working

Tom scored on a tap in that resulted in a blown tire

Rounding out the scoring, Johnny A had another and Peter scored a beauty on a break away

Robbo prepares for the game not realizing that his scorers won't be showing up

Maybe the fact that Dennis showed up early,threw us off

The new and improved Stone failed to make a difference

They bloodied Kevin and knocked me out of the game.....we will be ready for them next game....

Robbo saves our Bacon!! on July 16th - Blades 3 MML 2

Da Blades emerged triumphant tonight playing with only their "B" squad, as Bobbo robbed Tingy's team in the dieing seconds .  Mark returned after a 5 week absence and managed only one shift. The goals were scored by Tom, on a Stone rebound, Johnny A on a beautiful roofer from Jake and Colin on a change up from the point.  The Turf Care boys showed a bit of rust and owe Robbo a couple of beers.......Next week we play Envelopes and need one Call up..............

With only 8 players against a full squad of Blues..and also Craig  missing, the Blades were on fire. Robbo stopped so many great chances they had. WE had 2 goals by Peter and 2 by Dave, Dr Pete had one and so did Dennis (who showed up). It is the biggest goal differential as far as we can remember. We want Mark to hurry up and recover and look forward to Johnny A coming back , but the Turf Care boys are now on waivers (so far no takers) as the proof is in the pudding. So the Turf Care boys should show up for the next game at 7:15 PM (in their suits as they did the game before)
