| So we end the season in 2nd place for the first time in many years!! |

| Murray enters the Arena confident that we will prevail!! |

| We watch the game before us un folds as MML is leading!! |

| Damn!! they get 2 quick unanswered goals and we are behind already!! |

| But shortly after Johnny and Quiggs score on change ups and we are tied |
 |
| This is where the refs come in!!...2 penalties to Peter and Gordo and the Envelopes score quickly and it is all over,,,,,terrible refs...what can you do!!....First summer season before this blog started 5 years ago that the Blades have lost.. on a brighter note...Reg has perfected how to get his balls to glow in the dark!! |

| 2 all with 5 minutes to go and Reggie steals the puck, goes in alone and dekes the Goalie!! |

| The best game this season they played against Us!! Great to have Robbo back as we left him alone a bit too much |

| Next game is in 2 weeks and we are expecting Rocket Ron Back!! |

| Can you see the dejection! Our only goal was scored by Johnny A.......Reg did not make it until the 2nd period and we missed him....and boy, did the Envelopes gloat tonight at the bar!!!!They are still eating chicken wings and we know that that will eventually kill them!!! |

| Quiggs was a great call up except he fell down tonight more than a hooker on Jarvis Street...Dennis took up a collection for a skate sharpening for him. |

| They benched their old Farts, Taxi and Gilbert, called up a guy from the youth league before us and proceeded to kick the shit out of us...........swell....... a few things I learned tonight...dont take a pic of Ron and I have to retire soon!! |

| Ron landed from Winterpeg too late to play , but he joined us for a brew |

| The Grandpa line of Stone, Mur and Tom were plus one for the night....and we are wondering when team manager, Johnny A gets back, wether he will go with that line again?? |

| Dennis was back and he was good enuf not to score on Robbo, thus preserving the shutout |

| Next game we are going to have 3 lines to try to end the draught with the Envelopes |

| The Refs gave us so many penalties |

| We played about 5 minutes 3 on 5 tonight |

| Of Course the Blues were Angels and the Refs turned a blind eye...Gordo got a penally for being Gordo |

| Anyways we prevailed and won 6 to 2 |

| Our Checking (Stone, Tom, Mur) line had about 200 years experience and we were plus one on the night with no goals against...I think Johnny A would cringe at the thought of this line playing again!! |

| Marc had 2 goals and Reg, Mark, Tom and Pete all had one each. |

| Stone had 3 assists and 2 were from the players bench!! |
 |
| Next week we are missing Pete, John, Colin and Craig with only Marc filling in so far....so it looks like we have to double shift Stone again!! |
